The hydraulic investigation of inflatable weirs

Abstract In this research, the models of Inflatable weirs with internal pressures 0.5 and 1.4 at three heights 0.15, 0.2 0.25 m were constructed. The deflectors used in two geometric sections, including rectangular triangular shapes, they installed angles 30, 45, 60 degrees downstream weir body. results showed that value Cd changes between 0.28 0.35 while range ratio upstream flow head on crest to radius side inflatable varies 1.5. by crossing over colliding surface stilling basin loses its energy about 10–85%. relative horizontal distance projectile-jet from 1.6 2.8. effect deflector is negligible due being located supercritical part weir. Examination obtained declared has a considerable dissipation.
